The Board of Directors of Jabita Intercontinental Hotels has introduced new measures to enhance the services of its operations.

Disclosing this at the end of the Hotel’s yearly General Meeting in Lagos, the Chairman/CEO of the organisation, Hon (Chief) Rasheed Adewale Shitta-Bey, said the measures taken to reorganise the hotel was aimed at repositioning the hotel so that it can service its numerous customers better.

One of those measures, according to him, include the election of a new director, Mrs Abisoye Osivaya-Nee Shitta-Bey who replaces Hon. Ajibola Shitta-Bey as well as refurbishing and rehabilitating the Hotel’s environment and enhanced security with palliatives.

The Chairman stated that the election of Mrs Abisoye Osivaya was considered due to her intellect, composure, education, exposure and professionalism.

While maintaining that the choice of Mrs Abisoye Osivaya was in good taste, Chief Rasheed Shitta-Bey said there was need to effect a change in the board, in order to give their numerous customers the good taste of hospitality compared to what is obtainable in other climes.

The Chairman used the occasion to warn the public against illegal leasing or sale of the Hotel by unscrupulous individuals who are parading themselves as agents of the organisation. He said: “Anybody or individual that conducts illegal leasing or sale negotiation without authorisation from the chairman, the owner of the Hotel regarding the said property will be doing so at his or her own risk”.

He advised that all enquiries regarding the status of Jabita Hotel should be directed to the Chairman, Chief Rasheed Adewale Shitta-Bey who is the rightful owner of the Hotel.
