In Spirit Of Xmas, Skepta Joins Wizkid For Ojuelegba

The ever-bubbling city of Lagos was in festive mood recently, as music stars and fun-loving Lagosians converged at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the much-hyped Beat FM Christmas concert.

The ever-bubbling city of Lagos was in festive mood recently, as music stars and fun-loving Lagosians converged at the Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, for the much-hyped Beat FM Christmas concert.

On parade at the concert were UK Grime artistes Skepta, Stormzy, Krept & Konan, who treated the audience with best of their beats, alongside Nigeria’s Wande coal, Sound Sultan, Yemi Alade, Seyi Shay, Yee C, Falz, Lil Kesh, Iyanya. For hours, the audience was held spell bound, as the artistes take their turns on the big stage.

Skepta and serial hitmaker, Wizkid electrified the crowd with the performance of Ojuelegba, which sparked excitement in the already charged hall. The duo kept the crowd dancing and screaming with their performance of the hit track that became global hit months ago, with remix from Drake and Skepta.

The South London rapper, Stormzy, who announced on stage that he was of Ghanaian descent, performed a number of hit songs like Not That Deep, Know me from, 0 to 100 and others. After performing a couple of songs, including the chart topping Private Caller on stage, Joseph Adenuga popularly known as Skepta, gave a shout out to his parents, who came to see him perform.

Krept and Konan, who are known for their handsome looks, got fans screaming and singing along to tracks such as Freak of the week, Young and Reckless and others.

Music fans also got a chance to enjoy performances from their favourite artistes, Falz, Phyno, Olamide, Lil kesh, Yemi Alade and a host of others who came on stage to the delight of the Lagos crowd. Olamide & Davido particularly got the crowd back on their feet with an energetic performance of their most recent collaboration The Money.

While Speaking at the gvent, GM Megalectrics Limited, Deji Awokoya said, “We’re happy to have fulfilled a lot of people’s Christmas wish as we organized an unbeatable show. It was a once-in-a-lifetime show and definitely one to remember,” he said.
