I once used my school fees for studio sessions, SYNO

With the gradual spread of indigenous hip-hop, particularly rap, and many young Naija artistes taking to this genre, fast rising Papa Ajao in Mushin based rapper, Adenekan Idris, who is known by the stage name, SYNO, is set make his mark in the industry music.

According to the Ogun State indigene, he began his music career five years ago, 2012 to be precise, during his final year in secondary school. He grew up listening to the works of the late Da’grin, who was famous for his indigenous rap.

Asked how he ventured into music and came about his stage name, Syno said: “Football has always been my dream, which I really worked towards but things didn’t work out as I excepted so I decided to face music. For my stage name, a friend gave it to me during my secondary school days, though it was coined out from my name Tosin (Tosyno).”

For the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic Ordinary National Diploma (OND) holder, Olamide Adedeji aka Badoo holds a strong influence on his music career. Though no album yet, his works include, Asiko Mi (My Time) and featured in Jhybo’s cover, Adura Elijah, both which are on online.

Syno explained that one of the biggest sacrifices he made in effort to actualise his musical ambition was to use tuition fees for studio sessions. “This made me missed some of my exams but I did return them anyways,” he stated.

He further explained that there is time for everything, adding that education is a very vital in anything one venture into as a career. “Your career is very important because the situation in Nigeria now has really made education non valuable to the youths. For me, I’m willing to trade my career for anything.”

Appreciating fans for being supportive from day one, Syno promise not to let them down as he urged them watch out for his new single, #Syno2dworld.
