Forget that youthful appearance, Seun Olagunju, the beautiful and brainy broadcaster has surely come of age. Unknown to many, the golden girl of the tube was 41 on April 5, this year.

Ordinarily, going by the virtue of her status in society, one would have expected her to put up a grand ball for the birthday celebration, just like she did last year when she clocked 40, but Seun didn’t do that. Instead of a ball filled with gaiety, the cerebral and modest woman celebrated her day at work.

However, Seun is not an ascetic. Like her husband, Dr. Kayode Olagunju, an Assistant Corps Marshal at the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), who is a gregarious dude, Seun is a joyful person who spread this joy on the faces of those that came to celebrate with her in her office by treating them to the hilt with sumptuous meals and drinks.

Part of the celebrities that thronged into her office were her husband, Kayode, Focus Nigeria presenter on Africa Independent Television (AIT), Gbenga Aruleba, and a host of others.

In the mood of the celebration, Seun’s husband was full of praise for her, describing her as “wonderful mother” and “beautiful soul mate.” He added: “Please, join me in wishing Seun, my love, happy birthday.

“I pray for you long life, prosperity, more giant strides and a better tomorrow. May your star never dim. Have a splendid day, my sweet angel. Thanks for being there for me always. Enjoy your day love.”

Apart from her husband, the ‘birthday girl’ also received torrents of birthday wishes and gifts from friends, relatives and co-workers.
At work, Seun is known for her brilliance and dedication to work. As a result of her outstanding achievements, she has won the Television Newscaster of the Year Award for eight times.
