Billionaire businessman, Femi Otedola, on Monday, April 8, once again exhibited his large heart when he indicated interest to foot the medical bills of Christian Chukwu, the ailing former Nigerian national team captain and coach.

The former Green Eagles defender, who is down with prostate cancer, is in dire need of $50,000 for an operation. Respite came for Chukwu days back when Norbert Okonkwo, Media Officer of Enugu Rangers, announced that the Enugu State Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi had donated N1.5million for the surgery before Otedola offered to assist the ex-Nigerian star on Monday.

Otedola, while pledging his support, promised to take care of the entire cost of operation as a token of support to a great Nigerian, who served his country meritoriously to the best of his ability.

This came weeks after the billionaire paid the medical bills of veteran actor, Victor Olaotan, who was on the verge of double amputation, following a fatal auto crash in 2016.
