Deputy speaker Lasun Yusuf bags chieftaincy title

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Lasun Yusuf, was recently conferred with the Bashorun of Obaagun title by His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Adebisi Okunade Kayode 11 in Ifelodun Council of Osun State.

His wife, Omowunmi Rasheedat, was also honoured with the title of Yeye Bashorun of Obaagun.

The occasion, which coincided with the 30th coronation anniversary of Oba Kayode 11, was designed to honour illustrious sons and daughters of the town.

The two-day affair was a huge success, as many from and near stormed the community to honour Lasun.
The rise of Lasun is still a subject of discussion in the polity, because he never had the premonition that he would get to the position of authority that would enable him roll with powers-that-be in the country.

The rest is history, as Lasun has embarked on projects aimed at spreading the dividends of democracy to his constituents.
