Anti-piracy crusader, intellectual property and human rights lawyer, Barrister Akeem Olaniyi Aponmade will on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 celebrate his 50th birthday. The golden jubilee celebration holds at the Eko FM hall, LTV compound on Agindingbi Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

BarAnti-piracy crusader, intellectual property and human rights lawyer, Barrister Akeem Olaniyi Aponmade will on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 celebrate his 50th birthday. The golden jubilee celebration holds at the Eko FM hall, LTV compound on Agindingbi Road, Ikeja, Lagos.

As part of activities line up for the day, there will be a public lecture titled ‘Corruption: What Is The Value Of A Bad Name’. The lecture will be put together by Aponmade Foundation in collaboration with Nigeria Patrotism Project. The Managing Director of Premier Records and Chairman, International Federation of Phonographic Industry (IFPI) Nigeria is the keynote speaker.

Other discussants include Prince Lanre Ogundipe, former President of Nigerian Union of Journalists; Alex Mouka, ex-Chairman of NBA, Lagos branch and Professor A. Adebiyi, Dean Faculty of Engineering, LAUTECH, Ogbomosho. Augustine Alegeh (SAN), President, Nigeria Bar Association will chair the ceremony.

Aponmade, a prince of Aponmade Dynasty in Ibadan, Oyo State holds B.Sc in Political Science and LL.B from Ondo State University, now Ekiti State University, and the University of Lagos in 1988 and 2005 respectively. He is the principal counsel at A.O Aponmade and Co chambers and director of R.O.O Aponmade Foundation (ROOAF). He has also been the national coordinator of IFPI Nigeria for over a decade.

The handsome prince is also a consultant to various national, international organizations and associations such as NCC, COSON,PMAN and secretary, publicity committee of NBA, Ikeja branch among others.
