All is set for this year’s Abuja International Film Festival (AIFF).

The festival, which offers a contemporary and liberal platform for filmmakers from all parts of the world to exhibit the excellence of the film art form, is scheduled to run from October 22 to 25 at the Silver Bird Galleria in the Federal Capital Territory.

AIFF Founder and President, Fidelis Duker, said the festival secretariat received over 3,000 films from about 100 countries, hinting that this edition would feature screening of films, industry engagements, networking opportunities, as well as an award ceremony, where awards would be given out in different categories, including best picture and audience choice award.

Founded 16 years ago, the festival aims at contributing to the understanding and appreciation of cultures of different nations and a unique opportunity for networking and capacity building, as several workshops and seminars are held during the course of the festival.
