Baseline front man, Skales has released his much anticipated sophomore album, ‘The Never Say Never Guy’. The 17-track album with three bonus tracks, features an array of A-list industry names, including world-famous American music act, PJ Morton of Maroon 5, Nigerian-Hollywood actor and singer Rotimi, Sarkodie, Wande Coal, Burna Boy, Phyno, Lil Kesh,Davido, and Timaya among others.

The album is a direct follow-up to the singer’s 2015 debut album ‘Man of the Year’, which was a commercial success, which the singer explained had taken him two years to perfect.

Skales had on Wednesday, May 24, at the Industry Nite, held a listening party for album. The night witnessed a slew of attendees who came out to show the singer some love and support, with many narrating stories of how Skales’ legacy has been a great source of inspiration to them in numerous ways.

Skales graced the stage in a grand style, to which the crowd yelled excitedly. He performed a number of songs off the album including the fast-paced techno afro-pop hit titled Booty Language featuring Sarkodie, Gbefun one time featuring Burna Boy, and Mama, among others.

The afro-pop star went on to take fans down memory lane; he performed some of his earliest hits like Mukulu, Always, Shake Body, I Am for Real and a few others before wrapping up the night with one of his most recent smash hits Temper featuring his frequent collaborator and friend Burna Boy.

The Je Ki Mo crooner gave a heart-warming speech before exiting the stage. He spoke on his journey since the release of his debut album down to the upcoming sophomore ‘The Never Say Never Guy’. He commended everyone in the building for their support.

Fans online have expressed their excitement since the release of the album on Democracy Day. Other stars in attendance include rapper Falz, Tunde Ednut, Kris Beat, and Jaywon among others
