While beauty is temporary, class is permanent, and while the crowd may be momentarily dazzled by ephemeral allure, it is ultimately grace, poise and intelligence that leave a lasting impression in the end.

While beauty is temporary, class is permanent, and while the crowd may be momentarily dazzled by ephemeral allure, it is ultimately grace, poise and intelligence that leave a lasting impression in the end.

One woman who epitomises the latter category is celebrated TV Presenter, Adesuwa Onyenokwe. Even as the years fly by and celebrities enter and exit the revolving door of fame, the publisher of TW magazine has adapted to circumstances effortlessly to keep her place at the top of the social ladder with minimum fuss and maximum flourish.

The ever-smiling lady of style, who clocked 54 on Tuesday, needs no introduction to Nigerians, especially Lagosians, having been a broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) for about 15 years before bowing out.

After she left broadcasting, she created a half-hour independent programme on television, Today’s Woman with Adesuwa, in 2000.
