THE Ogun state government through the Ogun State Property Investment Corporation (OPIC) has commenced the construction of a new estate at the OPIC Estate, Isheri along Lagos Ibadan expressway.
 
The new estate called MTR Gardens will consist of over 600 units of two and three bedroom flats. Preliminary work completed in July 2015 and part of the development includes provision of main arterial road network into River View Estate, Isheri.
   
MTR Gardens Isheri is a Greenfield development, which comprises of 120 two-bedroom apartments and 400 units of premium three bedroom apartments. 
   
The managing director Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation Mr. Babajide Odusolu while taking press men on a tour of the site said “the government is set to deliver value at an affordable price through careful balance of efficient design and planning without compromising quality”. 
 
“MTR Gardens” is a designed as a multi-zoned gated community and will on completion have a variety of infrastructural facilities and services. Facilities being provided include a club house with gym, squash court, swimming pool, water works providing potable water, power station for efficient power supply and a modern super market which will equally be beneficial the surrounding estates
   
A key element of the development is the construction of a new four-lane dual carriageway that will resolve the accessibility challenges bedeviling River Valley and the rest and of the schemes within the OPIC Isheri axis.
 
The delivery of housing and massive investment in infrastructure is a key program of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun FCA CON administration and OPIC has show cased this commitment with the development and commissioning of the Orange Valley Estate; (the first fully gated estate in Abeokuta), which was completed within a record period of nine months. 

In order to make the new estate and its other projects more affordable, OPIC is also introducing a 36-month OPIC Advantage payment plan.
 
This plan allows qualified applicants to take possession of their assigned units after completing a 30 per cent deposit while the balance is spread over 36 months.
