Architects’ conference holds in Lagos

The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is set to hold its 58th Annual General Meeting and Conference at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, from November 27 to 30 in Lagos.

The Nigerian Institute of Architects (NIA) is set to hold its 58th Annual General Meeting and Conference at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, from November 27 to 30 in Lagos.

Tagged EKO 2018, the four-day programme with the theme: Architecture and National Regeneration is aimed at bringing all architects across and beyond Nigeria especially in the diasporas together to celebrate architecture profession.

A statement by its General secretary, I.S Saulawa stated that the conference would also act as a premier venue for Nigerian architects, researchers, practitioners, and stakeholders to share new idea, original research results and practical development experiences for critical examination of architecture and its role in national regeneration.

This, he said will provide a clear step to see new innovation that is capable of producing alternative architecture technique.The conference features pre-conference workshop, exhibition/documentaries, and roundtable discussion focusing on challenges of national regeneration, architecture for public good: priority, process and possibilities and promoting architecture for national regeneration.
