The newly opened Mountainview shopping mall in Abuja

Mountview Shopping Mall Abuja, has finally opened its doors to the general public for shopping activities.

The mall had been ready since first quarter of the year for launch but couldn’t open because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The gradual ease of the lockdown and commencement of economic activities have created a window for the mall to open under conditions that comply with Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) safety guidelines.

Consequently, SPAR Market, which is the anchor tenant keyed into the opportunity and opened their doors for trading accordingly.

The Official Launch /dedication of the mall was conducted within few friends and family amongst whom were the Executive Director of Topwide Ventures Limited Mr. Harris Uche Okonkwo and the Managing Director of Richards Infrastructures Limited, Mr. Andy Morkah.

Mountview Shopping Mall is a Joint Venture development between Topwide Ventures Limited and Richards Infrastructures Limited. The Mall is a 10,000 sqm total built area and 7000sqm total let-able space with adequate provision for car park. It is currently the only shopping centre of such magnitude within the lifecamp and Gwarinpa axis and according to the Executive Director of Topwide Ventures Limited, the vision is to bring shopping and entertainment closer to the residents of Lifecamp and its environs.

The Managing Director of Richards Infrastructures Limited – Mr. Andy Morkah stated that the company brought affordable lease conditions, good ambience, good occupational maintenance structure and adequate shopping facilities to the Mall.

Morkah who also is the Chief Executive Officer of Property Vault Limited (The Leasing Company) continued by advising the government to take infrastructure development more seriously to encourage developers by opening up roads to build residential and commercial properties within developing areas.

Apart fron SPAR Market, other brands that launched their stores include Tenualla Kiddies, Saliarabian Fashion, Remedicks Pharmacy etc. The mall is currently 60 per cent leased but most of the operators are at various stages of fit out.
