Zulum names 13-member GIS board

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has inaugurated a 13-member board for state’s Geographical Information Services (BOGIS).The board will provide and manage geographic information services (GIS) for institutions and members of the general public.

Special Adviser to the governor on Public Relations and Strategy, Isa Gusau, stated yesterday in Maiduguri that Zulum signed the bill establishing BOGIS into law last year.He said the bill was to reform land administration in the state through adoption of various measures, adding, “The constitution of board for geographic information services has replaced the Ministry of Land and Surveys with 13 members.”
