Your article…..How to fight corruption, what to do ? First , you stated…imbibe a collective challenge by setting up and building a community of activists, question official wrongs and demand answers and above all pass all relevant information about corruption to the relevant autoririties. Noble ideas and noble suggestions. We have had over the years acitivists…if i wiil name a few… Gani Fawehimi, Fela Kuti, Braithwaite, Falana….these acitivists were classified as trouble makers by Nigerians . They questioned wrongs by various and previous adminitrations but got persecuted and thrown into jail (Kirikiri). Information about loss of billions of Naira stolen by individuals have come to nothing even after having been investigated and individuals prosecuted with no meaningful results.
I believe no Nation can eradicate corruption but the level of corruption as corruption is a disease that pervades the whole world. We can start by changing the mentality and syche of individuals to do the right thing and obey the law of the land regardless of who you are and your position in society… and that to me will be the beginning of change….. perhaps a herculean task to achieve.
