Ono of the newly registered political parties, National Rescue Movement (NRM) has urged Nigerians to resist the temptation from self-centered politicians whose aim was to use bags of money to buy votes, deprive rightful and serious candidates and also pervert the electoral process to suit selfish end.

The party specifically appealed to the Nigerian youth, which it said commands the needed population to change the political and economic destiny of the country through their votes, to be mindful of perverted politicians and their money, as the 2019 general election is fast approaching.

Making the appeal in Kano State over the weekend, the National Chairman of NRM, Senator Sa’idu Dansadau challenged the electorate to shun corrupt politicians who have been masquerading under the guise of transforming Nigeria to a better place than they met it in 2019.He said it is important that Nigerians should be careful never to fall into making another mistake of voting corrupt politicians in the next general election, saying corrupt politicians, who have stolen public funds while serving in public offices, are again warming up to buy the conscience of voters to achieve their selfish interest.

According to him, “There is the need for Nigerians to avoid such politicians, who do not have the interest of Nigeria at heart, after stolen public funds and now seeking to hold political office to amassing our commonwealth again.”He said further that any public office holder who must have been indicted for stealing over N1 billion should not even be considered not to talk of be voted into office again. According to him, “Such a person should be considered to be insane. No sensible person will steal such huge public money and claim to be a leader.”

Explaining what the new political party aimed to achieve, Dansadau said, “NRM was formed, with a people-oriented policy and essentially prepared to rescue Nigeria and Nigerians from the present political mismanagement and weak economic policies.”

While he assured that every member of NRM would be afforded equal rights and opportunity to vote and be voted for and that money-bags would not be given the opportunity to prevail over and against member’s equal opportunities, Dansadau said the party would not extend opportunity to anybody found to have a record of corruption to contest for any political office under its platform. He called on Kano people to embrace the new party in view of its good policies and programmes, meant to add value to the living standard of Nigerians, especially the common man.

Said he “Kano people should lead other Nigerians in accepting and embracing the party. Only people who have strong faith in God will embrace NPM, this is as he promised that the party would give attention to youths in view of the fact that if given the necessary mentorship, they would take the country to great heights.”
According to him, “We believe that if the youth are given necessary mentorship and leadership, they can take the destiny of the country into their hands.”
