The Okowa Legacy group has taken a swipe against the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a sinking ship with no sense of direction or hope of survival.

Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT) of the group, Dr. Amechi Okobah, who was reacting to the criticism of the party against the Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, urged the APC leadership to remove the log in its eyes before removing the speck in another person’s eyes.

Okobah, who spoke at the end of a strategic meeting held in the state, challenged APC to address insecurity, hunger and poor performance, saying Nigerians had never been as divided as under the current APC government.

He said the Okowa-led administration had raised the bar in governance since the creation of the state. He said the good works of the governor, rather than APC’s lies and propaganda, would secure victory for him in a second term.

The BoT chairman expressed satisfaction with Okowa’s performance, saying he had surpassed the achievements of his predecessors.

Okobah added that the governor had excelled in physical infrastructure development, empowerment of youths and women, job creation, promotion of peaceful co-existence and social welfare for widows, as well as providing affordable health care.

He warned that the group would no longer tolerate any attempt by the APC to denigrate the achievements of government through cheap blackmail, lies, and other diabolic methods, which are at variance with democratic norms.
