Edo council boss, Ogbemudia pledges support for Obaseki’s re-election

Chairperson of Egor Council, and daughter of the late Dr. Samuel Osaigbovo Ogbemudia, former military governor of old Bendel State, Eghe Ogbemudia, yesterday, pledged support for Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki following his emergence as the flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the governorship poll slated for September 19.

Ogbemudia, who assured him of massive support, stressed that the people of Egor council were solidly behind him.

Speaking after Obaseki was declared winner of the primary in Benin City, Ogbemudia said: “I congratulate the Governor on his emergence as the PDP candidate. I wholeheartedly appreciate the other aspirants as well as the delegates who found sense of comfort with the working ideology of our governor, they have all proven beyond doubt that they know how Edo State can truly work and be made a better place for our children and our children’s children,” she said.
