A former member, House of Representatives and Chieftain, All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Bimbo Daramola has advised the Deputy National Chairman, South, APC, Chief Segun Oni and former Governor of the state, Dr Kayode Fayemi to shelve their ambition to contest the 2018 governorship election in Ekiti State.

Daramola said the ambition of the two party elders might polarise the party and make it lose to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) led by Governor Ayodele Fayose, whom he said has the mastery of Ekiti State politics.

The former Director General, Fayemi Campaign Organisation in the 2014 Governorship Election said the duo should be statesmen and see the 2018 Governorship Election beyond parochial interests.

He warned the leadership of APC in the state not to take the 2018 election with levity because the party is contesting against a formidable force that must be taken seriously.

The Chief of Staff to the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives lamented that few months to the election, APC in Ekiti State appears to be in deep slumber without any political activities connecting it to the people.
