Former Speaker, House of Representatives and Ogun State Action Democratic Party (ADP) Governorship candidate, Dimeji Bankole has pledged not to betray the people of the state if elected governor.

Bankole, yesterday, during the flag-off of his campaign, in company of his running mate, Olufunmilayo Oduwole, said he is contesting to fix unemployment problem.

Noting that he will encourage local content in his administration, the former Speaker promised to give priority to mass employment. He, however, lamented the state of roads in Ogun West Senatorial district, promising to fix them, so as to maximise the economic gains in the region. He pledged to ensure every project executed is done with local content, adding that local governments would be independent.“We are not thugs. ADP is a party with one agenda— mass employment. We will not betray you. When we say ADP, we mean one destiny. What we observe is that the people of the state are asking for one thing, which is employment.”
