NJC and the re-instatement of judges

Sir: Though accused persons are assumed innocent until proved guilty, the manner the Nigerian Judicial Commission (NJC) ordered the re- instatement of the judges accused of corruptly enriching themselves is a big minus to the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government.

Sir: Though accused persons are assumed innocent until proved guilty, the manner the Nigerian Judicial Commission (NJC) ordered the re- instatement of the judges accused of corruptly enriching themselves is a big minus to the anti-corruption war of the Federal Government.

Corruption is the bane of this nation and corruption at the bench is the worst type because such characters hide under the law to perpetrate it. No judge accused of corruption should sit at the temple of justice until he or she is cleared.

Their actions among others are responsible  for the immense sufferings in the land. Corrupt people are indirect murderers and must not on any condition escape justice.

I therefore call on the Federal Government to ensure none of the judges is reinstated until they are cleared. It  is immoral for any of those judges to sit at the temple of justice to judge other Nigerians. It’s reprehensible and must never be allowed.

However, if any of them is found innocent later, he or she should be reinstated, rehabilitated and deserves an apology.

But the fight against corruption must never be selective. Discrimination in projects and appointments is also corruption.
