Ohu: A word for his family and the killers

SIR: I want to use this medium to express my heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family of Mr. Bayo Ohu, who was murdered in his home in Lagos, on Sunday, September 20. I want to encourage my sister Blessing the wife to take heart and be strong in the Lord. If the Lord has permitted it, leave your case in the hands of the All-wise and All-knowing Judge of the whole earth.

I read in the papers you had gone to church that early morning, as a worker only to be called that your husband had been killed. Please, don’t let anything discourage you, only be closer to the Lord the more.

I know it is painful, but I want to let you know that the Lord cares deeply for you and those beautiful children. In fact you are a blessed woman. You have the responsibility under God to show those children the pathway of truth and Godliness you have chosen and the Lord will strengthen you to do it. Just take it as one of those pains of this present evil world. My love also goes to the aged father and other relations. May the good Lord comfort and uphold you at this period of grief, in Jesus’ mighty name.

For you killers, I really pity you. Whoever you are, know that God is on the throne. You have caused pain and heartache to millions. But I want to tell you that mercy and pardon and forgiveness is available to you. But if you persist in your evil there awaits you God’s unfailing judgement. Right now your hands are full of blood and except you genuinely repent, you will never know peace in the land of the living nor in death saith the Lord.Don’t let anything deceive you, God knows all of you. He knows your names and contacts. I hand you over to Divine Justice.

Abiodun Kiki,
Lagos.
