Egwu is still obstinate

SIR: As the industrial action by ASUU, SSANU and NASU enters its fourth month, it is clear that Dr. Sam Egwu, the Minister of Education is yet to grasp the urgency of the situation. He is still grandstanding and saying that ASUU should call off the strike first before the resumption of negotiations.
This is very sad since it was the self-same government that walked off the negotiating table. As things stand, it is evident that given the obstinate posture of this public functionary, our universities will remain closed for some time to come.
One thing is sure however, if his own children are in these public universities, the industrial action would have been over by now.
