known as the COP Meeting Series or the Conference of Parties – the supreme making decision body for the worlds management of high level global initiatives on Climate Change, the COP meetings which began in 1995 has met annually to educate, negotiate and deliver solutions on the climatic challenges of the world.

Tagged COP23 for this year [2017] and holding at the UNFCCC headquarters in Bonn – Germany, it is the second meeting of parties since the historic Paris Agreement of COP21.

With more than 29,000 delegates, heads of governments and negotiators expected for the [11] day event, the organizers have decided to add a “fresh and unusually steady” voice to the global debate. Young Film Maker and Girls Education advocate Zuriel Oduwole has now been invited to attend the conference. A year later in New York during the UNGA, she met with Prime Ministers of Samoa, Jamaica and Tuvalu, to help galvanize her understanding of the climate change phenomenon, and the impact on Education in the region.

She also spoke at a Climate Change event sponsored by Nigeria on the Lake Chad Basin regions challenges, at the 2016 UNGA.At COP23, she hopes to bring a bright perspective as a Girl [Gender Equality] Education [Advocate], to tackling the Climate challenge, especially since the UN strongly believes all age groups as stakeholders, have a strong role to play towards the success of implementing the COP21 Paris Accord. At just 15 years old, she is the youngest person in the history of COP, to be formally invited to speak at the conference. In January 2017, the US Secretary of State called her the Worlds Most Powerful Girl.
