A youth group, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to curtail all forms of cultism in the South West and the entire country.

A youth group, Yoruba Youth Socio-cultural Association (YYSA), has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to curtail all forms of cultism in the South West and the entire country.

The group stated this in a statement issued in Ibadan, Oyo State yesterday by its National President, Olalekan Hammed.

Speaking against the clash at Abule-Egba area of Lagos, it said: “We are perturbed, as the evils perpetrated by cultists have been causing tension in South West, especially in Lagos and Ondo states.

“Governors of the South West region should take the issue seriously as it is getting outrageous. The havoc caused by cultists yesterday is condemnable.”

“We implore our government to curtail all forms of cultism in our region before it worsens.”
