Director General of the Buhari South East Youth Movement (BSEYM), Mr. Nwabueze Onwuneme, has said the zone, under the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration, would attract infrastructural development and favourable policies that would impact positively on its socio-economic development.

Speaking in Umuahia, Onwuneme, an engineer and the immediate past Special Adviser on Housing to former Abia State Governor, Senator Theodore Orji, expressed optimism that the people’s desires from the federal government would be facilitated if they show support for the president and his policies, urging them to disregard what he called “the campaign of calumny against the President by the opposition, as only the guilty should be afraid.”

He urged youths in the zone to, irrespective of their political leanings, support the government of President Muhammadu Okechukwu Buhari, in order to bring about massive infrastructural development and favorable government policies to drive Igbo businesses.

According to him, “the amount of selfishness and greed exhibited by some leaders of the zone for their own personal gains has greatly short-changed the people and has led to retarded growth of the economy.
