GOVERNOR Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State has charged the fifth members of the state House of Assembly to imitate their predecessors for effective legislation and development of the state and country at large.

Governor Dankwambo, represented by his deputy, Mr. Charle Iliya, who gave the charge during the induction workshop for the Assembly members-elect with the theme “Capacity Building for Effective Legislation” in Gombe yesterday, said they were elected for lawmaking and oversee the activities of government hence the need for their full co-operation and effective legislation to deliver dividend of democracy to the people in the state.

He said a lot are expected from them towards the development of the state and the country at large and advised them to be fully prepared to work.

He, therefore, called on the out-going members to guide the in-coming ones to be able to discharge their duties accordingly.
