A group, Women of Inestimable Values, has declared its intention to eradicate domestic violence and prevent child abuse all over the world.

The international non-governmental organisation (NGO) that fights against domestic violence and child abuse, during a visit to The Guardian, disclosed how it had empowered victims of domestic violence and abused children in the society.

The founder, Blessing Okojie, said the organisation had trained over 60 women in vocational skills, human rights and behavioural intelligence in its one year of existence.

“Our major goal is to empower every woman to be financially-independent.

This we have done with our free trainings,” she said.

Alongside other responsibilities, Okojie said the group sponsors children’s education and feeds vulnerable children and the aged.

The Lagos State coordinator, Loveth Farinto, buttressed that the group employs the services of legal experts in the area of women and child rights.

“We have 15 legal practitioners whose services we employ while fighting human rights battles.”
