Kaiama (Kwara), April 29, 2015 (NAN) A mother of three, Fati Tanko, on Wednesday approached a Kaiama Area Court in Kwara to dissolve her 20-year-old marriage to Tanko Usman for lack of love.
Fati, a resident of Kaiama in Kaiama local government area of Kwara, told the court that she was no longer interested in the union.
She said she was blessed with three children from nine deliveries.
“I’m tired of this marriage. The union is lacking in love, which I believe should be the first rule of marriage.
“So I want the court to separate us,” the plaintiff urged the judge.
The respondent, however, pleaded with the court to grant him adjournment to enable him reconcile with his wife.
The Presiding Officer, Malam Ahmed Yahaya, adjourned the matter till May 27 to enable the respondent carry out his plea.
He advised the plaintiff to think twice and query herself on what she wanted again after a 20-year-old marriage
