‘Why PIND signed MoU with Abia on development’

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND) Foundation signed with Abia State government will assist the state to develop a long-term strategic vision to deliver inclusive governance and sustainability to Abians.

Speaking with The Guardian in Umuahia yesterday, the partnership/engagement manager of PIND, Mr. Chime Asonye, noted that Chevron Nigeria Limited established the non-profit organisation to build partnerships and peace for equitable economic development in the Niger Delta.

Asonye spoke after he led PIND Team and other international development partners comprising the European Union Niger Delta Support Programme 4 and BudgIT on an advocacy visit to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu.
