The November 21 gubernatorial polls draw close, Kogi State Governor Idris Wada has commissioned an electricity project, which connects Bassaland to the national grid.

The gesture the governor said was part of effort to boost the electricity infrastructure for enhanced quality service delivery in Bassa local government area.

At the commissioning, just before the PDP governorship campaign rally in the local government council, Wada said the effort was aimed at alleviating the long suffering of the communities that had been experiencing total blackout for years now.

Meanwhile, the Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA) governorship candidate poll, Emmanuel Enesi Ozigi has promised to deliver visionary leadership if given the mandate.

Ozigi, who gave the indication during a rally of his party in Anyigba, the commercial city of Kogi East, said his government would accord priority to human development.

He said, “We have seen Prince Abubakar Audu before. We are seeing Wada now. It is obvious that both leaders do not have what it takes to move the state forward. It is time to try something different in order to make a difference.

“I am the difference Kogi has been waiting for. I am not in this race as an ethnic or religious candidate. I am in this race because I know what it takes to make Kogi a better place for us all.”
