To strengthen healthcare delivery in Enugu State, Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has assented to the state’s Health Sector Reform bill passed by the legislature.

Commissioner for Health, Dr. Fintan Ekochin, told newsmen after the State Executive Council (SEC) meeting that the new law would bring a lot of positive changes to the health sector.

He added that it would comprehensively address health-related issues for the people’s overall benefit.

According to him, new components have been integrated into the law for positive results, as the district health system introduced by the colonial government has been repackaged and replaced.
