Uduaghan, Sherif, Akpabio attend APC caucus meeting
Former Governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan and ex-National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ali Modu-Sheriff, yesterday attended a caucus meeting of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Also in attendance was the former Governor of Akwa Ibom State and ex- Minority Leader at the Senate, Godswill Akpabio.
The meeting at the New Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja was their first with President Muhammadu Buhari since they defected from the PDP.
Others who attended the meeting were the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, national leader, Bola Tinubu, former chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) Bisi Akande, and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.
Among state governors who attended the meeting were those of Borno, Jigawa, Niger, Plateau, Kogi, Adamawa, Ondo, and Kano.
Others were Ogun, Oyo, Katsina, Osun, Yobe, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Imo and Lagos states.
Former governor of Ekiti State, Segun Oni, House of Representatives’ Majority leader, Femi Gbajabiamila, former Ebonyi State Governor, Martin Elechi, and former Lagos State Governor, Buba Marwa, also attended.
The meeting also had Lawrence Onoja, Jim Nwobodo, Kabiru Gaya, former APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun, and former Enugu State Governor, Sylva Chime.
Ex-Edo State Governor, Osariemhen Osunbor, former Senate President, Ken Nnamani, and former Ekiti State Governor, Niyi Adebayo also attended the enlarged caucus meeting.
Also in attendance were ex-Bayelsan State Governor, Timipre Sylva, Don Etiebet, Information Minister, Lai Mohammed and other serving ministers.
Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shuaibu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters, Senator Ita Enang, and one-time governor of Anambra State, Chimaraoke Mbadinuju were also in attendance.
