TUC urges review of free education policy in Imo
Imo State Chairman of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Nkim Tangban, has urged Governor Emeka Ihedioha to review the free education policy in the state.
The immediate past government of Rochas Okorocha had on assumption of office in 2011 pronounced free education from basic to tertiary level for indigenes only.
Tangban, who expressed reservation on the genuine implementation of the policy, said the current administration should restructure it to yield the desired results.
He identified education as one of key areas the Ihedioha administration should give priority attention, stressing that every concerned government must give enough impetus to education development in the state.
