Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has fixed February 12, 2020, to begin trial in the case instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against a lecturer of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, over alleged employment scam.

Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin has fixed February 12, 2020, to begin trial in the case instituted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) against a lecturer of Federal Polytechnic, Offa, over alleged employment scam.

Ilorin Zonal Office of the EFCC had sometime in November 2019 slammed a nine-count charge against the lecturer for allegedly defrauding some job-seekers at the institution.

The defendant had, at the last adjourned date, approached the EFCC for plea bargain after evaluating the proof of evidence and the unchallenged findings of the anti-graft body.

His counsel did not object to the application.

The court thereafter adjourned till February 12 to begin trial.
