Tin-Can customs posts N79 billion for Q1 2019
The Tin-Can Island Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) generated N78.8 billion in the first quarter of 2019, up from the N76.7 billion realised in the corresponding period of 2018.
NCS Area Controller, Mohammed Musa, disclosed this yesterday to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
He said the command projected an income of N84 billion during the period under review but ended up generating about 94 per cent of the target.
Musa disclosed that the command was given a target of N343 billion for 2019, adding that it surpassed the targets for two months, as the election holidays affected its revenue in March.
He expressed the hope that the revenue figure of last year would be surpassed.
