Taraba community petitions governor over land encroachment

RESIDENTS of Batu-Kamino Community of Boko village, Kurmi Local Council of Taraba State have petitioned the state governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku, to as a matter of urgency call to order, persons in the recently created Special Development Area, from trespassing their land.

According to the petition signed by Mallam Aliyu Abe Edu, Dauda Ayuba and Daniel Yusuf, since the creation of the special area, peace has eluded the people of Batu-Kamino.

The petition read: “The people of Ngada Special Development Area are now going beyond the purpose of government creating a development area. We are sad that the Ngada people are now claiming ownership of Boko village, as well as land belonging to us.
