Students build luxury hostel in OAU

With a vision to create a solid foundation, some students of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) through the Campus Alive Initiative have designed and constructed a hostel facility in the institution.

According to the Managing Director of the Initiative, Oyinwola Don Bababtope, he said over 80 percent of higher institutions in the country have accommodation challenges, which gave birth to the idea. He added that Diamond Luxury hostel solely funded by them was designed and developed by some students of the institution in 2012 but launched this year.


Babatope stated that Campus Alive Initiative is campus Consultancy Company and are currently proposing to develop hostels in University of Lagos, Lagos State University, University of Port Harcourt, University of Ilorin and University of Abuja. He urged youths not to relent in their efforts despite the poor economy, but with perseverance, work towards their goal.
