Hope Uzodinma

Not happy with the picture brandishing in one of the national dailies and social media repeatedly, projecting Imo All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma, Governor Rochas Okorocha, has asked the senator to discontinue from using such antics to deceive the public, describing the photos as fake. Okorocha also demanded for an apology from Uzodinma for displaying such picture.

In a statement issued yesterday by Okorocha’s Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, noted that a particular national daily (not The Guardian) was repeatedly using the same crowd picture which was taken during the Uzodimma’s airport reception in Owerri, and subsequently published in the paper at different forum, noting that he, the governor won’t allow deceit to thrive in the state.

The statement reads: “We have a task. And that responsibility is that we won’t allow deceits to thrive. We must lower the antenna of falsehood.

We make hay to say that the photograph is fake, fraudulent and deceitful. This picture has become a tool for deceit on the side of some of these men. The truth is that Uzodinma does not have support to win the governorship election in Imo.”
