The Police Public Relations Officer, Geoffrey Ogbonna, made the denial in Umuahia.
He confirmed that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and CP Ene Okon also paid a condolence visit to the family of the late a commercial motorcyclist, Chimaobi Nwaogu Uzoukwa, who was reportedly shot dead yesterday by a soldier at a checkpoint for allegedly refusing to part with an N100 bribe.
The PPRO said the governor had confirmed arrest and detention of the killer, vowing justice.
