Shekarau, others know fate today in N.96b fraud suit
Senator Ibrahim Shekarau (APC, Kano Central) and two others will know their fate today on the alleged N950 million fraud suit filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before the Federal high court in Kano.
The former governor, alongside former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Aminu Wali; and Director-General, Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign in the North West, Mansur Ahmed, are facing a six-count charge of money laundering and unlawful collection of N950 million from former Minister of Petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke.
The contentious fund, EFCC believed, was stolen in 2015 from the presidential campaign fund of Goodluck Jonathan in the North West.
