The Senator representing Kaduna Central zone, Shehu Sani yesterday began his campaign at the residence of former Kaduna State governor, Balarabe Musa.

Supporters of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) attended the rally, where he asked the people to reject Governor Nasir El-Rufai at the governorship polls.

Sani who declared to revive the age-long Talakawa and progressive party of the PRP in Kaduna State, unveiled his agenda to uplift the socio-economic status of the people in the state.

He said Nigeria “in the coming senatorial contest in my zone, the battle will be between the good and the bad political forces and elements of retrogression who want to destroy our state.

He said: “It is time for Nigerians to resist any attempt by the governor to plant his stooges in the National Assembly, who will be used as rubber stamp in actualising his personal agenda and interest, and which will definitely set our dear state backward.”

The PRP national leader urged party supporters to come out massively to vote for Sani against his opponent, the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s senatorial candidate, Uba Sani.

According to Musa: “This is the time to show the entire state and Nigeria that the PRP is still strong and relevant in the politics of the state and the country.
