A Senatorial aspirant in Enugu State, Chinedu Eya, has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to grant him, and other youths, waiver in their ambitions. He spoke in reaction to the election guidelines released by the party for the 2019 elections, which marked the commencement of sale of

‘Expression of Interests and Nominations Forms.’He said: “The PDP, in keeping with its promise to enhance the inclusion of young persons in the democratic processes of the country, following the passage of Not-Too-Young-to-Run bill into law” was morally bound to remember his personal sacrifices for the party. Eya highlighted his efforts for the main opposition party to include convening and coordinating “Why it must be PDP in 2019”
(WIMBPDP2019).

He described it as a pressure group with a wide membership across the 36 states of the federation, and the agitating for the return of the PDP in 2019.He explained that his organisation, has since its existence in 2015, carried out a lot of activities in championing the party’s course. The aspirant said his group was also involved in defending it from the ruling party’s tyranny and politics of vendetta, through aggressive press statements, repelling rallies, workshops and general sensitisation.
