Senate approves Buhari’s request on advisers
The Senate yesterday granted President Mohammadu Buhari’s request for the appointment of 15 Special Advisers. President Buhari had on Monday sought Senate’s approval to enable him engage the services of 15 Special Advisers in line with the provision of the 1999 Constitution.
On resumption of plenary therefore, the Senate Majority Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba sought the consideration of his colleagues to approve the request, noting that Mr. President’s request was indeed, in consonance with Section 151(2) of the Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended). Consequently, the request was put into vote and unanimously endorsed.
