Security agencies face many challenges in doing their job, Anambra CP

The Anambra Commissioner of Police, Garba B, Umar has said that security agencies encounter a lot of challenges in the process of doing their job, especially in the area of fighting crimes.

The Anambra Commissioner of Police, Garba B, Umar has said that security agencies encounter a lot of challenges in the process of doing their job, especially in the area of fighting crimes.

Umar stated this in Onitsha yesterday while receiving six new patrol vehicles donated to the Police and Road Safety in Anambra and Delta States by the management of Interfact Beverages Ltd, Onitsha.

He commended the company for their gesture, adding that the vehicles donated would help in facilitating their work, as he assured that said vehicles would be used judiciously. He charged the Divisional Police Officers to stand up to the challenges of ensuring security of lives in Anambra.

Earlier In his speech, the Director legal and Corporate Affairs (West Africa), Otunba Michael Daramola, said the donation of the vehicles is part of the company’s contribution to maintain security in both states.

He noted that the police require assistance in areas of equipment and called on well meaning organizations to help. He cautioned the police and FRSC to use the vehicles judiciously, just as he commanded them for the good job they are doing presently.
