Seaman’s Schnapps upholds culture at Olojo festival in Osun State
Seaman’s Schnapps, from the stable of Grand Oak Limited, has affirmed its traditional role as the number one prayer drink at the recently held Olojo Festival in Ile-Ife, Osun State to celebrate ‘Ogun’, the god of Iron. ‘Ogun’ is believed to be the first son of Oduduwa, progenitor of the Yoruba race.
The Seaman’s team, led by its Senior Sales Manager, West Region, Mr. Adewale Ogunyemi, was at the palace of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, to pay him homage.
Ogunyemi presented the Seaman’s Schnapps to the Ooni, which the Kabiyesi used to offer prayers to the gods on behalf of the people and the land. SThe team also promoted Yoruba tradition of offering gifts on visits to palace by presenting branded gift items and Seaman’s product range to the Ooni of Ife and palace chiefs.
Ogunyemi said the brand was at the festival to sustain the long-standing relationship with dynasty as the only exclusive spirit of the festival and to play its important role as the conveyer of enduring blessing.
According to him, Seaman’s Schnapps is the original prayer drink that has affinity with the celebration of culture and tradition, among which is the Olojo festival .
He further pointed out that the brand took part in engaging the people with its famous Ayo Olopon contest during the festival at which winners were rewarded with fabulous gifts.
