The senate president, Bukola Saraki, donated the sum of N10 million to 630 flood victims on Thursday at his senatorial district.

Saraki, who represents Kwara central senatorial district of the state in the senate, presented the flood victims with relief materials and cash gifts at a ceremony at his campaign office in Ilorin, the state capital.

The Director General of ABS Constituency Office, Musa Abdullahi, who distributed the cash gift on behalf of Saraki, said the senate president was responding to needs of the people irrespective of their political affiliations.

“Our political leader and Senate President deemed it fit to assist the recent flood victims across Kwara central without minding which political party they belong.

“Saraki is passionate about the wellbeing and welfare of his people as their leader, hence, his decision to assist the flood victims,” Abdullahi said.

Abdullahi asked the beneficiaries from this donation to reciprocate the Senate President’s kind gesture by voting for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2019 presidential elections.

He added that Saraki is always prepared to assist the people of the state through the provision of basic infrastructure and human capital development and urged the beneficiaries to ensure the victory of the senate presidents party to enable him to continue this gesture.
