Rotary commits to polio eradication, establishes school in Ondo
Rotary Club International, Nigeria, has built a secondary school, which is first of its kind in Imafon, a community in Akure North Local Council of Ondo State, just as it has reiterated its commitment to making Nigeria polio free.
District Governor of District 1125, Rotarian Bisi Adegoke, who spoke in Akure, during an evaluation visit to the state, and to commission the school, said the Imafon High School project was inline with some of the club’s objectives. The school is set to have the first set of Junior Secondary School (JSS) three students.
Adegoke urged members to put more efforts in rendering elfless services to the society, and called on public and private entities to support its humanitarian services in order to help improve infrastructural facilities in rural areas.
