Rotary club donates solar powered borehole to Abuja community
Rotary Club of Nigeria, yesterday, donated a seven million naira solar powered bolehole to Daki-Biyu community in Abuja.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project, Michael McGovern of Rotary Club International, United States of America (USA) noted that Rotary Club identified clean water was a major problem at Daki-Biyu, and decided to intervene.
“We will like the community to own and maintain this bore hole. Rotary is not government, so this is a private effort.”
The District Chairman, Dr. Tunji Funso also asked the community to make good use of the borehole.
