BUOYED by the fact that Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) won the recent House of Assembly election by 14 seats, out of 25, House of Representatives member-elect for Idah Federal constituency Emmanuel Egwu has said the party is ready to clinch the governorship election later in the year.

He reiterated the fact that there was no rift in the party adding that the chance to retain power is very bright, maintaining that Governor Idris Wada’s administration has been workers’ friendly, one of his achievements, which stand the party in good stead.

According to him some states mostly, All Progressives Party (APC) states owe workers five to six and even seven months salary but Kogi is up to date.

He said the PDP is sure footed to retain the seat of power at the Lugard House without any hassles.

He enumerated the laudable achievements of the Governor to include the ongoing construction of the Kogi State University Teaching Hospital in Anyigba, the diagnostic complex at the specialist hospitals and the reconstruction of Kogi Hotels.

Other achievements of the Governor in the midst of economic downturn, he said, include the almost completed Cement Factory in Ofu Local Government.
